Learning to Use the Planetarium

Before You Start

For the first few times you use the planetarium, first close any browser pages or applications that do heavy-duty graphics. Do this until you feel confident that your system doesn't have a problem running the Planetarium.

If the Planetarium doesn't seem to work on your device, see the Requirements page to find out if your system is supported. If it should be supported but still has problems, look at Troubleshooting, further down on that page.

Option 1: Videos

Start with The Elements. Then explore the solar system using what you have learned and try everything that the video showed you.

When you want more, continue with The Basics and then Advanced.

Option 2: Just plunge in

If you are that sort of person, just use the Quick Reference page.

Open it in another tab or, better, window and then press where it says Press Here, up above.

A Note on Privacy
